Meetings & Reports
Monthly Community Safety Meeting
Public safety is a shared responsibility, and meaningful progress begins with open communication. Each month, the Charles Village Community Benefits District convenes a Community Safety Meeting that brings together residents, businesses, neighborhood associations, institutional partners, elected officials, and public safety agencies to discuss issues affecting the district.
These meetings provide an opportunity to:
Review recent crime trends and public safety data
Discuss emerging neighborhood concerns and quality-of-life issues
Share updates from the Baltimore Police Department and other public safety partners
Identify problem locations and recurring incidents
Coordinate community-based solutions and prevention strategies
Learn about CVCBD Public Safety initiatives and upcoming programs
Provide residents and business owners with a forum to ask questions and share feedback
The monthly meeting encourages collaboration and ensures that community voices remain central to shaping neighborhood safety priorities. By bringing stakeholders together on a regular basis, we strengthen partnerships, improve communication, and promote coordinated action throughout the district.
Community members, business owners, property owners, and institutional representatives are encouraged to attend and participate.

Transparency and accountability are essential to building trust with our community. Each month, CVCBD publishes a Public Safety Report that provides a comprehensive overview of public safety conditions and program activity throughout the district.
The report is designed to keep residents, businesses, and community partners informed while helping identify trends that guide future initiatives and resource allocation.
Monthly reports may include:
Crime statistics and trend analysis
Patrol activity and service hours
Community engagement and outreach efforts
Safety escort requests and assistance provided
Quality-of-life concerns and observations
Infrastructure and environmental safety issues reported
Collaborative initiatives with the Baltimore Police Department and community partners
Public safety highlights, accomplishments, and upcoming initiatives
The report also provides updates on recurring neighborhood concerns, allowing the community to track progress over time and better understand how CVCBD and its partners are working to improve public safety.
Our commitment to sharing timely, reliable information helps foster informed decision-making, encourages community participation, and reinforces our dedication to creating a safer, more connected Charles Village.
Each monthly report is available (here) and is shared with residents, businesses, community partners, and stakeholders as part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and public engagement.
