The Clean Team

Who We Are

Creating Cleaner Streets. Building Stronger Neighborhoods.

The Charles Village Community Benefits District (CVCBD) Clean Team is at the heart of our mission to create a clean, safe, and vibrant community. Every day, our ambassadors work throughout the district to improve the appearance, cleanliness, and overall experience of Charles Village's public spaces.

Operating seven days a week, the Clean Team provides proactive public space maintenance across more than 110 city blocks serving the neighborhoods of Charles Village, Abell, Harwood, Old Goucher, Barclay, and portions of Remington. From sweeping sidewalks and removing litter to pressure washing commercial corridors and responding to quality-of-life concerns, our work helps create a welcoming environment where residents, businesses, students, employees, and visitors can thrive.

Clean streets are more than an aesthetic improvement—they promote public health, support economic development, encourage neighborhood pride, and contribute to a greater sense of safety. Every service we provide is an investment in the long-term vitality of our community.

Our Mission

The Clean Team exists to enhance the quality of life throughout the Charles Village Community Benefits District by delivering dependable, high-quality public space maintenance while serving as visible ambassadors for the community.

Our goal is simple: create public spaces that people are proud to live in, work in, visit, and invest in.

Our Services

The The Clean Team delivers a comprehensive range of public space maintenance services designed to keep the district clean, attractive, and welcoming.

Daily Litter Removal

Our ambassadors patrol the district each day, removing litter from sidewalks, streets, curb lines, tree pits, transit stops, and other public spaces. By maintaining a consistent presence throughout the neighborhood, we help prevent small issues from becoming larger problems.

Sidewalk Sweeping

Routine sidewalk and gutter sweeping removes dirt, leaves, and debris that accumulate throughout the year, improving both the appearance and walkability of our commercial and residential corridors.

Public Trash Receptacle Maintenance

The team monitors and services public litter receptacles throughout the district to reduce overflowing trash, improve sanitation, and maintain clean streets.

Weed and Vegetation Management

We remove weeds from sidewalks, curb lines, and tree pits to improve curb appeal while helping preserve pedestrian access and neighborhood aesthetics.
