OLD GOUCHER
The
Old Goucher Community comprises the area generally bounded
inclusively by the north side of E. 20th Street, the south
side of E. 27th Street, and both sides of Howard Street and
Guilford Avenue. The community includes an eclectic mix of
ethnic restaurants and white-collar professional firms, especially
those in the fields of graphic design, advertising, architecture,
and printing. Along Howard Street is Baltimore’s “Automotive
Alley”, with a heavy concentration of car-related services.
The area also has a mixture of single and multi-family homes,
and non-profit organizations.
The Old Goucher Community Association (OGCA) focuses its
efforts on building community relationships. This year’s
goals include increasing membership and improving communication
with the neighborhood.
Meetings are held on the last Monday of every month, at 7:00
p.m., at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church, 2200 St. Paul
Street, and are open to the public. Membership dues are $5
per year. For more specific information, contact:
